What is Chiropractic?

Many people associate chiropractic care with neck and back pain, but it can help with much more than that. The word chiropractic comes from Greek and literally means “done by hand,” reflecting the hands-on techniques used to support the body’s movement and function.

When the body holds less physical tension and the nervous system is under less stress, it can function and recover more effectively. This isn’t something mysterious — it’s how the body naturally works. For example, when you fall as a child and scrape your knee, the body begins the healing process automatically. The body is constantly repairing and renewing itself.

However, when the body becomes inflamed, injured, or restricted in how it moves, this can lead to discomfort or pain. Pain is often the body’s way of signalling that something needs attention.

Chiropractic care uses a range of gentle, hands-on techniques to help restore movement, reduce tension, and support the body’s natural ability to recover. If you’re curious about chiropractic care or feel a little unsure, you’re very welcome to get in touch. We can have a conversation about your symptoms and whether chiropractic treatment may be the right option for you.

About Me

I graduated with a Master’s degree in Chiropractic in 2022 from Europe’s largest chiropractic university. My journey into healthcare began much earlier, when I started working as a massage therapist at just 19 years old, driven by a natural desire to help people.

After several years of treating patients, I realised there was a limit to how much I could help without a deeper understanding of the body. This led me to pursue my Master’s degree in Chiropractic, where I was amazed by the depth and complexity of the human body. During my studies, I developed a particular interest in neurology and became fascinated by how the brain perceives and processes pain.

Chiropractic also played a significant role in my own health journey. After years of chronic lower back pain and sciatica, and seeing many healthcare professionals without clear answers, a chiropractor finally diagnosed me with hypermobility. This joint condition makes my joints naturally very flexible, but it can also lead to fatigue, frequent injuries, and slower recovery.

Understanding my own body was life-changing. It gave me answers to years of discomfort and inspired me to help others who may be experiencing similar challenges.

My personal experience motivates me to help people better understand their bodies. My goal is to empower you with knowledge, build confidence in how your body moves and heals, and help you develop resilience for a healthier future.
